Youth Programs

 

Very often in society, people are leary of those teenage years. However, this is the time that our children need the most guidance. While many programs stop religious education for youth after they are confirmed, our church continues to provide the religious guidance that is so important to their future. It shows these young adults that a religious education can be fun and let's them talk out their problems with their peers and with a religious guide. By helping them to thoughtfully work out problems together we help to prevent teens from internalizing their problems and from just acting instinctively.

 

• Our High School Youth, Senior Pilgrim Fellowship, meet on Sundays from 7 to 9 p.m. from September to June.
•  Junior Pilgrim Fellowship is for our seventh and eighth graders and they meet on Sundays from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. They do a rotation of games, discussions, projects, and outings, with special programs including baking, bowling, and babysitter training.

Our Youth Program Director, Jay Potter

Jay is never afraid to just be a kid. He shows the youth in our church how fun fellowship can be and how, with the help of peers and religious guidance, those teenage years can be less stressful!
