Our music program is led by Anne O'Brien who does a lovely job demonstrating the joy of the Lord through the groups she directs and she teaches her choirs to express their love of Christ through their music.

• Adult Choir: Center Faith Singers The backbone of our music ministry is the adult choir, The Center Faith Singers. We are always looking for new members ready to stretch their vocal chords a couple times each week. We rehearse twice each week on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9:00 a.m. before each service. We sing almost every Sunday and for special services such as Christmas Eve. Whether you are a vocal virtuoso or if you just sing in the shower - we would be happy for you to sing with us!
• Handbells:  Centeringers Handbells add another rich dimension to our music. Our handbell choir, known as the "Centeringers", rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 7:15 p.m. This adult choir rings periodically on Sundays and at special services. We also ring at area functions and occasionally attend festivals. The Handbell Choir is a wonderful alternative if you want to show your love of God through music but may not feel as comfortable with your vocal ability.
• Handchimes Choir: Joyful Chimers Handchimes have a mellow sound all their own. Our children in third through eighth grade demonstrate their abilities when they perform on selected Sundays. They rehearse on Mondays at 4:15 p.m.
• Youth Handbell Choir: Glory Ringers Our children in sixth through eighth grades demonstrate their ability on selected Sundays with the beautiful handbell choir. They rehearse on Mondays at 5:15 p.m.
• Children's Choir: Celebration Choir The Children's Choir sings at least monthly throughout the church year. If you happen to go into the sanctuary after Sunday worship, you will have the opportunity to hear them rehearse at 11:15 a.m.
• Praise Team Band The Praise Team Band performs on the first Sunday of each month. They focus on Contemporary Christian Praise Music.

•  Guest Musicians  During the year, we also have a variety of instrumentalists that enrich our ongoing ministries with their music. If you would like to share your musical talents with us, please contact the Music Committee at centerchurch@snet.net or call (860)489-8301.

   

 Anne O'Brien takes a beautifully patient, soft and kind approach to her music direction. She teaches the spirit of the Lord through her direction. She makes everyone feel as though they are virtuosos with her praise and finds creative ways to achieve the groups goals, whether it be holding up a little smiley face to make them smile or to make weekly bookmarks so the choir can find their pieces easier. Her keen organizational skills combined with her musical talent make our music program and joy to be a part of.
