Center Church is committed to the ongoing Christian Education of all its children. This takes place in many forms: Sunday School, Family Nights, weekend church family retreats, special events, special groups for children-parent activities and summer conferences.
The purpose of Church School is to nurture and grow within each child an awareness of the love of Christ, to learn the basics of the Bible, and to live by the teachings of our Lord. Classes for children three-years-old through grade 8 are held at 10 a.m. each Sunday from September through June. Child care is available for infants up to three years of age.
Confirmation for 9th graders meet at 8:45 during the school year. They attend worship afterwards as a group.
Church School classes meet during the worship hour at 10 a.m. so parents are free to worship, knowing that their children are being stimulated in faith in an enjoyable and nurturing environment.
Church School children are in the sanctuary for the opening of worship where they have come to especially enjoy the Children's Message by our Pastor, Dr. Fung. They also lead the congregation in worship at the Children's Day service which is held in early May.
Parental involvement with their children is important to us at Center Church. We love to see parents get involved as teacher, helpers, serving on a committee, helping serve refreshments, assisting in a special event.
Our children are involved in ministry project that help others. This teaches them the joys that comes from freely and generously sharing the love of Christ.
Compassion International is a program that the Center Church children are involved in. We help a little boy name Denilson Cocasapa who lives in Bolivia. In his home, Delison helps by caring for animals and running errands. He lives with his mother. As part of Compassion's ministry, Denilson participates in church activities, Bible class and Vacation Bible School. He enjoys playing with cars, singing and playing with marbles. The children's love and support will help Denilson to receive the assitance he needs to develop his potential.

There are large number of children who are involved in the Church School program. This is evident during the school year when worshipers on Sunday morning see somewhere between 60 and 80 children rush forward to hear the Children's Message.
Our Church School Administrator is Karen Albanese. She has an unmistakable love for children and a strong commitment to nurturing the faith of all who participate in the children's ministry of Center Church.
